Sea Thrift Cottage (The Lincoln Home Thrift Shop)

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 29th – September, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm

   The shop frequently offers lawn furniture, kitchenware, household items, clocks, televisions, books, lamps, and clothes for sale. Come early and often in search of bargains and treasures. Your contribution of salable items in good condition, including clothing and household goods, will be most welcome. Donations can be delivered to The Lincoln  Home any weekday during normal business hours, or directly to the thrift shop year round.


Silver Tea at The Lincoln Home

Wednesday, June 6th,  2:00 - 4:00 pm

   A longstanding tradition at The Lincoln Home, The Silver Tea traces its roots to the founding of The Home by the Lincoln County Union of Woman’s Clubs in 1927. Initially The Silver Tea served as an opportunity for club members to see the results of their work. Now reaching far beyond the Union of Woman’s Clubs, the tea includes community guests, friends of The Lincoln Home, residents, families and, of course, club members.

Ice Cream Social
Thursday, July 19th, 2:00 - 4:00 pm

   The Lincoln Home’s annual Ice Cream Social, featuring “make-your-own” ice cream sundaes, will be held in July in the Home’s new addition. Residents and Staff of The Home invite friends and families for an afternoon of visiting and renewing friendships.


Founders’ Day Antique Auction and Fair

Wednesday, August 1st

   Founders’ Day, a happy combination of antique auction, fair and flea market, will take place on the grounds of The Lincoln Home on August 1st. Festivities will begin at 8:00 am with the opening of a well-stocked Flea Market featuring many tables ranging from “Ten Cents to Treasures.” The auction will start promptly at 10:00 o’clock, conducted by auctioneer Robert (Bob) Foster of Newcastle. Bob will lend his delightful wit and knowledge to the occasion for over 25 years. Early arrivals may enjoy a Coffee Shop, excellent sandwiches, a Gift Shop and a table featuring homemade baked goods. The Founders’ Day Antique Auction and Fair is conducted under tents on the grounds of The Lincoln Home, located on the banks of the Damariscotta River overlooking the village of Damariscotta, one of the most picturesque settings in the Mid-Coast Region.
