Quality Assisted Living at The Lincoln Home

                         rec3

The Lincoln Home was founded in 1927 by the Lincoln County Union of Women's Clubs to provide comfortable housing for the elderly. The Home's Board of Directors continues to be drawn from the Union of Women's Clubs as well as from the community. The Home is a not-for-profit organization.

In the Spring of 2002 a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation was completed, creating one of the most comfortable and modern assisted living homes in Maine.

Beautifully sited on the bank of the Damariscotta River, The Lincoln Home now accommodates as many as 40 men and women in 34 spacious living units. Six of the units are spectacular suites designed for couples, or for a single person seeking more space.

Common spaces are available for gatherings, as are quiet cozy places perfect for reading or gazing out the many windows overlooking the shimmering river. Activities occur throughout the week including bridge, guest speakers, and gatherings for fun and lively conversations. Outings in the neighboring community are frequent. Friday evening social hours take advantage of the grand piano and the living room's panoramic view of the river. An elevator and handicap accessibility encourage easy walking inside and outside The Home.

Monthly rates for The Lincoln Home compare favorably with other assisted living homes in the area. The Home, as always, is committed to being affordable as well as providing the best care and service possible. For more information on rates and availability of single rooms or suites contact Lynn Norgang.
